The Canadiens have had their share of injuries in recent years and this year, and this is also the case for the Laval Rocket, who is very mortgaged.

Indeed, the team is first in the NHL for the number of games missed in the last three years, and it notably shattered an NHL record in 2022-23.

Kent Hughes even replaced the team's nursing staff, led by Graham Rynbend, and hired those from the Rangers, who were the least injured in the NHL conversely, but to no avail.

Injuries continue to come at a breakneck pace and we don't really know how to stop this scourge. The Canadiens and the Rocket deserve a little break from injuries, if you ask me.

The Habs was deprived of Juraj Slafkovsky and Patrik Laine, in addition to Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and several defenders, while the Rocket is deprived of Alex Barré-Boulet, Filip Mesar, David Reinbacher and Jakub Dobes, among others.

Now to be added to the long list, Jared Davidson will have to miss several weeks of activities.

Davidson seems to be coming out of his shell, having already accumulated 6 points including four goals in 8 games. Last year, he had 16 points in 38 games. We see the progress.

The 5 round pick in 2022 represents a hidden card in my opinion. He's very intriguing as a player and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up making his mark in the NHL.

Additionally, the left-handed center player is very responsible defensively, which adds to his value. It's a heavy loss for Pascal Vincent's troop, but they will manage to keep the boat straight, I am convinced.
