David Savard plays his cards on the table: "it's heavy"
At training camp, the Canadiens players were all very excited about the start of the new season and they had only one goal in mind: to participate in the playoffs.
However, after 15 games, the team had only four wins to its name and people were already talking about a season to forget.
Martin St-Louis' men managed to win in Buffalo, but it wasn't easy. They had to score 7 goals.
David Savard is a veteran and an undisputed leader in the Canadiens' locker room. We hear that the atmosphere must not be easy with all these losses, but most of the players deny this fact.
As for Savard, he dared to tell the truth.
We have to take the example of the players who are doing well, and the list is very short. Brendan Gallagher is having a good start to the season and he is an inspiration to his teammates.

I am not one of those who think that the Canadiens will make the playoffs, and that has been the case since training camp, but it is not too late to confuse the issue.
With a series of three or four straight wins, the Canadiens would be back in the mix. It will not be easy, while the next opponents are tough.
The Minnesota Wild, the Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights represent better teams, while the Columbus Blue Jackets represent potential prey.
We will see what the Habs' record will be after these next four games.
