If the Montreal Canadiens were a ship, there would be leaks everywhere right now and the boat would be on the verge of sinking.

The defense is so porous that we wonder who should do what in their zone. The system must be reviewed, rethought and practiced constantly until it works at least a little better.

On offense, Cole Caufield or Brendan Gallagher must score, otherwise nothing much happens.

Behind the bench, we are running out of solutions. Martin St-Louis and his inexperienced staff are in the abyss and they need help to get out of it.

Georges Laraque has a solution for them, and that would be to hire an experienced coach to support them.

There is one who is available and who has already had success in Montreal.

"Gerard Gallant would be a good assistant coach for MSL!" The team needs to do something now, because it's not going in the right direction!"

- Georges Laraque

Now it remains to be seen if an assistant position could interest him, but he would certainly be a quality addition for the Canadiens and for Martin St-Louis.

Not only is Gallant experienced, he is also used to the Montreal market. It is the Canadiens who allowed him to be on the map as a coach.

I do not always agree with Georges Laraque, but on this, I am 100% of his opinion.

Martin St-Louis is good and he will be good in the future and I still believe in him as the Canadiens head coach, but he needs help.
