In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens organization has made some personnel movements.

Team general manager Kent Hughes announced that forward Oliver Kapanen was loaned to Timra in Sweden.

"The Canadiens have loaned forward Oliver Kapanen to Timr IK in the SHL."

While he had earned a position at the last training camp, Kapanen could not be sent to the Laval Rocket in the American League, which explains the organization's decision to send him to the other side of the league. Atlantic.

In 12 games with the Canadiens this season, the man who was a second round pick in 2021 has collected two assists and he should finish the season in Sweden.

To compensate for Kapanen's departure, Kent Hughes recalled attacker Lucas Condotta from the Laval Rocket, while another forward, Jacob Perreault, was promoted with the Rocket in the American Hockey League.

The recall of Condotta may seem a little surprising because the latter has only collected four assists with the Rocket since the start of the season.

It's a safe bet that some Canadiens fans are rather disappointed with this decision because players like Joshua Roy and Alex Barré-Boulet would undoubtedly have deserved a recall from the big club.

Especially in the case of Joshua Roy who is having an excellent time as he has collected 10 points, including 7 goals in the Rocket's last 5 games.

It remains to be seen how long Lucas Condotta will stay with the Canadiens and how Martin St-Louis will use him.
